The Clearwater Housing Authority’s (CHA) waiting list for the Housing Choice Voucher (HCV) Program, and the Family Public Housing waiting list are currently closed. Please check back periodically for notices as to when these waiting lists will be opening.

2021 Emergency Housing Vouchers


The Emergency Housing Voucher (EHV) program is available through the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA). Through EHV, HUD is providing housing choice vouchers to local Public Housing Authorities (PHAs) in order to assist individuals and families who are:


    • Homeless,
    • At risk of homelessness,
    • Fleeing, or attempting to flee, domestic violence, dating violence, sexual assault, stalking, or human trafficking, or
    • Were recently homeless or have a high risk of housing instability.


Clearwater Housing Authority can only issue
Emergency Housing Vouchers by receiving a referral
from The Homeless Leadership Alliance of Pinellas.


If you meet one of the four criteria above, you must contact the Homeless Leadership Alliance of Pinellas for eligibility determination and a direct referral.

2021 Senior Public Housing Program Waiting List Opening
Please read the following information carefully
The Clearwater Housing Authority (CHA) will be accepting ONLINE applications from only families/individuals with ALL household members whose ages are fifty (50) or over for the Public Housing Program.
Online applications will be available beginning 8:00 AM on Monday, July 26, 2021, at The Senior Public Housing Program waiting list will remain open until further notice.
 Eligible applications will be selected for placement on the Senior Public Housing Program Waiting List in real-time. Applicants will be notified via U.S. Mail within ninety (90) days of their application date. Applications that are incomplete, ineligible, or duplicated will be discarded. CHA will provide no further notification.
